    Delhi to Narkanda (480 km / overnight)

    Depart Delhi by evening in our Tempo Traveller. Overnight journey through Chandigarh and Shimla, reaching the apple-orchard town of Narkanda (2,700 m) by morning. Freshen up, breakfast and rest at the homestay.

    Narkanda to Chitkul (200 km / 8 hrs)

    Scenic drive along the Sutlej through Rampur and Karcham into the Baspa valley. Reach Chitkul — the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet border (3,450 m). Evening walk along the river. Overnight in a riverside homestay.

    Chitkul to Tabo (170 km / 7 hrs)

    Drive through Sangla, Reckong Peo and the dramatic Khab confluence where the Spiti meets the Sutlej. Stop at the cliff-side Nako lake. Reach Tabo, home to the 1,000-year-old Tabo Monastery — the "Ajanta of the Himalayas".

    Tabo to Mudh Village, Pin Valley (60 km / 3 hrs)

    Short, beautiful drive into the protected Pin Valley National Park. Walk through Mudh — a tiny hamlet of barely 50 houses surrounded by jagged peaks. Evening at a Spitian homestay with butter tea and local stories.

    Mudh to Kaza (50 km / 2.5 hrs)

    Easy morning drive to Kaza (3,800 m) — the cultural heart of Spiti. Afternoon acclimatisation stroll through the colourful Kaza market and local cafés. Optional visit to Sakya Tangyud Monastery.

    Kaza Local Sightseeing — Key, Kibber, Komic, Langza & Hikkim

    Full day exploring the highest villages on earth. Visit the iconic Key Monastery, Kibber wildlife sanctuary, Komic (4,587 m), Langza's Buddha statue and post a letter from Hikkim — the world's highest post office (4,400 m).

    Kaza to Chandratal Lake (100 km / 6 hrs)

    Drive over Kunzum Pass (4,551 m) into the Lahaul side. Reach the crescent-shaped Chandratal — the Moon Lake (4,300 m). Camp under a blanket of stars. Sunset walk around the lake.

    Chandratal to Manali (120 km / 8 hrs)

    Sunrise at Chandratal. Drive through Batal, Chhatru, Gramphu and the Atal Tunnel to reach Manali. Celebration dinner at an Old Manali café. Hot shower and warm beds!

    Manali to Delhi (540 km / overnight)

    Free morning to explore Old Manali, Hadimba temple or grab some café-hopping time. Board the overnight Volvo / Tempo back to Delhi by evening.

    Arrival in Delhi

    Reach Delhi by early morning with a phone full of photos, a head full of stars and a heart full of Spiti. Trip ends with sweet memories and souvenirs from the Trans-Himalayan land.
